Meeting with Emmanuel in NYC!!!

Our visit with Emmanuel was AMAZING! Emmanuel said he would like to join us for two full weeks on our bike ride. He said he would like to join us for RAGBRAI(7/20-2/29) and our last week where we finish in Ocean City, Maryland(8/28-9/4). We are so excited for Emmanuel to join us!! He is just like us and even trains for 4 hours straight on stationary bike at A time!! I dont know if Pat or I could even do something like that:). He's tuff. Also, Emmanuel has invited us to bike across Africa some day in the future. We were thinking we could bike from Ghana to Kenya, which would be west to east across the African continent.

Emmanuel is actually as much of a good person in real life as he is portrayed in his movie: Emmanuel's Gift. He is an extremely caring person and he is all out trying to make a difference and make our world a better place to live! He mentioned how money, big cars, and fancy houses are things that are unimportant, which is exactly what AFC is all about! We are very happy that he took the time out of his very busy schedule to talk to us right before he returned to Ghana. We can't wait to see him this summer!
