Official Donations for RAAM 2008!!!!

Today we sent our our donation checks from Adventures For the Cure to both American Diabetes Association (ADA) and Partners Seeking a Cure (PSC).

The Adventures For the Cure RAAM 2008 Team donated $6,350.00 to ADA. We previously donated $2,450.00 to them as part of this year's Tour De Cure. So in total we donated $8,800.00!

We also sent a check for $8,800.00 to PSC. Our friend Mike Z, whom we know through The Morning Ride, has a disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. This is a disease affecting the liver that has not specific known treatment or cure. PSC helps to raise funds, awareness, and education to help those affected by the disease. We wanted to help them, and Mike, in their efforts to fight this disease!!

And now it is on to our next task :)

Cyclocross!

Adventures For the Cure will be competing in a lot of cyclocross races this upcoming season. The cyclocross season starts in September and lasts until early December. Here is a video that shows what a cyclocross race looks like...

As you can see it is a spectator friendly and very unique sport. Something of a mix between mountain and road bike racing.

Most of the races we will be doing are part of the Mid-Atlantic Bicycle Racing Association. (MABRA).

Go to our AFC Calendar to see what races we are doing.

If you are interested in racing and you would like to join our USA Cycling Team please email us at adventuresforthecure@gmail.com.
