+$100.00 thanks to Don Kramer!Battling diabetes is something that is close to our hearts since Adam has Type I Diabetes. AFC's mission at it's core is to raise awareness, show other diabetics that anything is possible, and to do anything to combat diabetes! We have met some amazing people lately!
On our way from Ness City to Larned, Kansas we met three really awesome bikers who were also going West to East. They had like a million stories to tell us about all of their adventures with Bison, Bears, and crazy people! There was a couple from the UK and they go on bike tours all around the world! They told us millions of cool stories. They were biking with a friend that they met along the way. Rick who is also going across the US.
We camped on the picnic benches in Larned's park. It was a nice night to be outside and sleeping. The roof over the benches provides a great cover from any rain. This is the second time we have slept on benches and we love it!
We also met two girls biking across the country in the opposite direction as us to raise money to help the environment! What a great cause!! Here is their website: http://greencycling.com/
When we got to Hutchison, Kansas today we met with Donald Kramer and his wife! Donald has helped us soooo much. He has found like a million places for us to stay! He met us at the local bike shop and showed us to the Church where we will be staying tonight. He also took us out to dinner at a great Mexican restaurant! Thanks sooooo much Donald!! We really appreciate you!
